We are keen to thank all the participants who attended our conference “Nutritional and health performances of dietary shrimp hydrolysate and krill meal in red seabream (pagrus major) fed low fish meal diet “, presented by Dr Vincent Fournier, Diana Aqua Research and Development Manager, during AQUA2018 in Montpellier.

Dr Vincent Fournier demonstrated that, in a context of fish meal replacement and development of functional raw materials and additives, the utilisation of shrimp protein hydrolysate is a performing solution to improve performances of low fish meal feeds in carnivorous fish species.

The high content in free amino acid peptides of shrimp hydrolysate allowed enhancing feed palatability and increasing dietary protein digestibility while counteracting side effects of plant based raw materials used as fish meal alternatives.
