At Diana Aqua, we care about water. The properties of our hydrolysates contribute to preserve the quality of water.
Indeed, feed wastes not consumed by the fish and their feces can alter the water quality.
Thanks to the better digestibility of our products, we help minimize waste in water. And thanks to better fish and shrimp health, we help reduce the use of medicines too.
Diana Aqua joins the movement of the water day!
World Water Day, on 22 March every year, is about focusing attention on the importance of water. The theme for World Water Day 2018 is ‘Nature for Water’ – exploring nature-based solutions to the water challenges we face in the 21st century.
Focus on Goal n°6: Clean water and sanitation: a worldwide stake!
Clean water and sanitation is a critical stake for our societies:
- to ensure people health conditions
- to provide basic sanitary needs
- to maintain biodiversity
- to provide services such as: irrigation for agriculture, power production
In 2017, 844 million of people had no access to safe water, 2 billion of people are affected by water stress and 2,4 billion people lack access to basic sanitation services, such as toilets or latrines.
At Diana Aqua, we decided to take part to the World Water Day:
We raise our teams’ awareness of water stakes explaining why clean water and sanitation are critical stakes for our societies, sharing key global figures and high water stress classified areas.
Water commitment at Diana Aqua:
As industrial player, Diana Aqua has an important role to play in the reduction of water consumption and our planet preservation.
-4% water consumption per production unit per year up to 2020
To drive industrial performance and achieve this objective, the water consumption is one of the KPIs that we monitor every month. This helps identify improvements and solutions to reduce each site water consumption depending on its environmental, building and production constraints.
At Diana Aqua, we implement actions to help us achieve our goal:
- Water awareness campaign with the support of experts
- Process and equipment improvements
- Cleaning in place (CIP) optimization
- Contribution to our local communities, by helping to improve their sewage system
Each of us can contribute to reduce water consumption to preserve our planet!
